The West Bengal Government has established an expert committee on holding the WB 10th, 12th board exams amid pandemic.
West Bengal government has put off the final decision on Classes 10 and 12 board exam dates. The Boards were to release the WB Madhyamik and HS examinations today. WB Madhyamik exams 2021 were scheduled to begin in the last week of July whereas WB HS exams were to be conducted in the second week of August.
After the Centreβs decision on cancelling the Class 12 exam, the state government decided to put hold on the announcement of the new exam schedule. It has set up an expert committee and directed the officials to submit a report within 72 hours on the issue. Students must watch this space to stay updated on any official announcement. It is expected to announce the final decision on the board exams today.
After the cancellation of CBSE 12th exams 2021, CISCE and BSEH also decided to cancel the 12th board exams. The boards will soon release the objective criterion to evaluation students and calculate the results.
Earlier, the Board had scheduled the state board examinations between June 1 and July 3 which were later postponed amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.
In case the Boards decide on conducting the examinations, students must download the previous years' question papers and solve them to get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and more.
