The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has revised the WB Madhyamik age criteria 2026-27. As per the revised criteria, students over and above 15 years of age will be eligible to appear for the Madhyamik exam. The state government, through its orders issued on July 31, 1991, and October 28, 2005, established age norms and set minimum age criteria for students enrolling in Class 9 and below.Â
“Candidates whose date of birth is after 31st October, 2012 are to be considered eligible to appear at the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination), 2027. The School authorities are requested not to send names of students whose date of birth is beyond 31st October 2012,” The board mentioned through notification.Â
WB Madhyamik Exam Routine 2026 AnnouncedÂ
WBBSE has announced the WB class 10th exam schedule 2026 at the official website. Students who are seeking to appear in Class 10 West Bengal Madhyamik exam 2026 must note that the examination will be conducted in February 2026. As per the WB Madhyamik routine 2026, the class 10 exam will be conducted between February 2 to 12, 2026.Â

The minimum mark required to qualify for the WB 10th exam 2026 is 34 per cent. Students who appear for the examination should get above 34 per cent in aggregate to qualify for the Board examination.
Those unable to qualify the exams will get a chance to sit for the WBBSE compartmental exams 2026. These WBBSE compartment exams will be jeld in June/July 2026.
