IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2022: Farmer's son bags whopping package of INR 75 LPA

IIM-A Placements 2022: 29-year-old graduate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, Pavan Sharma, is making to the headlines for bagging the highest offer of INR 75.2 lakh per annum during this year's placement drives. Pavan is a son of a farmer and according to TOI report, a decade ago, he earned his first pay cheque of INR 3,000 as an accountant.

Pavan Sharma, a recent graduate from IIM Ahmedabad's' PGPX programme, bagged the highest offer of INR 75.2 lakh per annum during IIM-A placements 2022. While talking about his decision to pursue an MBA, he stated he wishes to have a 360-degree understanding of all managerial functions and hence thought an MBA degree would be most suitable for the same.

Sharma completed his CA in 2014 and then proceeded to work with Grant Thornton for seven years before leaving to join IIM Ahmedabad

Employers these days are actively searching for an entrepreneurial mindset in potential candidates, Pawan said while speaking about how he landed the offer.

For IIM Ahmedabad placements, the annual package of INR 75.2 lakhs is the third highest placement received by PGPX programme graduates. For the 2022 placement, this is the highest placement recorded at the campus for MBA.

Speaking to TOI, Pavan Sharma stated that the Indian Placement Reporting Standards, IPRS report on the placements in July confirmed that his package was the highest.
