IIM Vizag celebrates eight foundation day

Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the foundation ceremony was conducted via virtual mode. Director, IIITDM Kurnool, Professor DVLN Somayajulu graced IIM Vizag Foundation Day 2022 ceremony as the chief guest.

IIM Vizag Foundation Day 2022: On the occasion of its eighth Foundation Day, the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam celebrated with fervour and gaiety recently. Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the foundation ceremony was conducted via virtual mode. Director, IIITDM Kurnool, Professor DVLN Somayajulu graced IIM Vizag Foundation Day 2022 ceremony as the chief guest. While delivering the Foundation Day lecture, Professor Somayajulu emphasised inculcating the necessary skills to overcome challenges and obstacles that arise in the workplace. The professor also shared his thoughts about the possible workplace challenges and to develop the ability to face risk and evolve with every step.

Professor PRS Sarma spoke about the importance of self-belief and hard work to survive in an exacting corporate world. The event was attended by faculty, staff, and students. Director of IIM-V Professor M Chandrasekhar congratulated the PGP students for striving hard and setting an exemplary record for setting a good academic record and securing 100% placements.

IIM Vizag achieved 100% placements for the 6th consecutive year during the final recruitment process. The placement drive witnessed the highest salary package rose by 13 per cent in 2022 as compared with 2021. The placement report also suggests that the average salary package went up by 16% in 2022 as compared with 2021. The institute also recorded a rise of 20.4% in the average stipend offered in summer internship placements as compared with 2021.
