Allahabad University to add 10 new courses under NEP 2020

During the meeting, it was also decided to keep the Katra gate of the Science Faculty campus of the university will remain open from 8.45 am to 11 am and 3.30 pm to 5 pm on all working days henceforth.

Allahabad University (AU) is all set to introduce as many as 10 new integrated courses under the proposals of the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. A meeting of all Deans, Heads of the Department, Coordinators / Directors of the Centre Institute was held under the Chairpersonship of the Honourable Vice-Chancellor on October 25, 2021. 

During the meeting, it was discussed that under the proposals of the New Education Policy 10 New Integrated Courses are being formulated including
(i) Food Technology:
(ii) Fashion Technology;
(iii) Food and Nutrition;
(iv) Artificial Intelligence
(v) Forensic Sciences;
(vi) Music;
(vii) Law
(viii) Disaster Management
(Ix) Behavioral and Cognitive. Sciences.

During the meeting, it was also decided to keep the Katra gate of the Science Faculty campus of the university will remain open from 8.45 am to 11 am and 3.30 pm to 5 pm on all working days henceforth. The meeting also resolved to host the alumni meeting in November 2022. The exact date of the reunion will be decided soon.

The teachers must follow the rules as per the Act and Statutes pertaining to the leave rules for India and abroad. The child care leave will be given for a minimum period of 45 days at a time and those lady teachers and other staff who are in the family way and who are unable to come to the Allahabad University must apply for maternity leave and get prior permission from the competent authority, the press release mentioned.

Allahabad University 3rd Year classes to begin from December 17, 2021 in offline mode observing the COVID-19 guidelines.
