Allahabad University to begin offline classes for UG students from December

The university authorities have decided to reopen the university for students of undergraduate classes from December 17, officials said.

Allahabad University has announced that it will reopen its campus in a phased manner to conduct offline classes for undergraduate students from December 17, following all the COVID-19 protocols. The decision comes after Allahabad University started offline classes for students of selected semesters pursuing postgraduate courses from October 1. 

“In view of the fact that the Covid-19 situation is under control at present and there is a concerted effort by the state government to bring the maximum population under the cover of vaccination, AU has begun a phased reopening of its campus,” said public relations officer of AU, Jaya Kapur told Hindustan Times.

The university authorities have decided to reopen the university for students of undergraduate classes from December 17, she added.

Allahabad University administration has however notified that it won't be compulsory for the students to carry their vaccination certificate and identity cards in order to enter the campus. It will be however mandatory for students to follow all the COVID-19 protocols. 

Meanwhile, the University of Allahabad has extended the last date for submitting the application form for admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses offered at the university. Earlier, the deadline was October 3, however, now candidates interested in Allahabad University Admissions can apply till October 7. Candidates seeking UG, PG and admission to professional courses at Allahabad University can apply for admission online at allduniv.ac.in.

It must be noted that Allahabad University is conducting the admission process this year completely online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
