Anna University Final year Exams 2020 to begin tomorrow amid strict coronavirus protocols

Anna University is all set to begin the final year exams 2020 online for UG and PG courses from tomorrow under strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Anna University will begin the Final Year Exams 2020 for undergraduate and postgraduate courses from tomorrow; i.e September 22 onwards. Anna University will be conducting the examination in online mode this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Students of the varsity can appear for the exams through their laptops, smartphones, tablets, or desktops with good internet connectivity.

The examination will carry 30 per cent weightage for the overall result of the theory course. The remaining 50 per cent weightage will come from the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) obtained up to the pre-final semester and another 20 per cent from the marks obtained in the internal assessments conducted in the final semesters. The varsity has also issued guidelines to conduct the exams that will begin from tomorrow.

As per the guidelines, students should log in to the portal at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The exam duration has been fixed 60 minutes and the distribution of questions comprises 15 questions in Part A and 25 questions in Part B. The final year online exams will be conducted in English for English mediums, in Tamil/ English language for Tamil medium students with a toggle option to switchover to any one of the languages. Mock/dry run examination is mandatory. The username and password for the mock examination and final examination will be made available in the students’ SEMS/ARMS login - ACoE web portal.

The examination will be auto-submitted after the completion of the total duration of the examination, However, students facing any technical issue during the examination can continue up to 15 minutes after the scheduled session time.
