Candidates who are interested must note that the fee has been waived for courses provided by the varsity on its various campuses. It must be noted that only the admission fee has been waived off and students who are taking admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses will have to pay semester as well as other additional fees.

Calcutta University Admissions 2022: Calcutta University has announced that it has application fees have been waived off for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses offered on the campus of various campuses of the varsity for the academic year 2022-23. Candidates who are interested must note that the fee has been waived for courses provided by the varsity on its various campuses. Calcutta University fee waiver option is not applicable to the college affiliated with it.

It must be noted that only the admission fee has been waived off and students who are taking admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses will have to pay semester as well as other additional fees. As per the University authorities, the decision to waive off fees has been taken to decrease the financial burden on students and their parents, as reported by TOI.

"There will be no admission fee corresponding to applications for admission in the postgraduate and undergraduate courses of the University of Calcutta for the year 2022-23. This will help reduce the financial burden on students to some extent. It is only for students enrolling for the year 2022-23," said a university official.

"In the two years of the pandemic, the education department had waived application fees for UG and PG courses in colleges and universities across the city. Almost all government and government-aided colleges had reduced their admission and semester fees to reduce the financial burden on the students," they said.

Even some colleges and varsities also provided mobile phones to underprivileged students to attend online classes and to avoid any academic gap during COVID-19.
