Creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and imagination have special importance in higher education: DU VC

Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh said that creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and imagination have special importance in higher education. The VC was addressing while presiding over the valedictory session of 3-day National Seminar on "Innovation in Higher Education through Public-Private Partnership" organized by Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) in collaboration with Delhi S & T Cluster, DRIIV, O/PSA, GoI. On this occasion he stressed on the importance of different models of strategies of PPP in higher education emphasising the role of private organization in maintaining the resources.

Prof. Saroj Sharma talked about the roles and responsibilities of academic institutions in the symbiotic relation with the private sector stressing upon the fact that the part of the public sector should never be underestimated vis-a-vis private organizations.

At the beginning of the closing ceremony, Director of CIC, Prof. Shobha Bagai welcomed the guests. In her address, she stressed that the seminar organised by CIC will support in strengthening the vision of DU in implementing the NEP 2020. Prof. Jyoti Sharma summarised the event by saying that the three days learning helped to build a shared understanding on the possibilities, safeguards, structure and intensity of Public Private Partnership to increase the quality and accessibility of educational opportunities without compromising the autonomy, commitment and ethos associated with education.
