Cyclone Gulab: Osmania University postpones UG exams scheduled for September 28, 29

Osmania University will announce the new dates for these exams soon on its official website; i.e. osmania.ac.in. 

Osmania University has postponed some of the Undergraduate exams scheduled to be held today; i.e September 28 and tomorrow; i.e. September 29, 2021, in wake of the heavy rainfall in Telangana and the resulting problems. The heavy rains have brought life in several parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to halt on Monday. Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts bore the major brunt of the fury of cyclone Gulab. 

Osmania University will announce the new dates for these exams soon on its official website; i.e. osmania.ac.in. 

Students must note that the OU has only postponed exams for BA, BCom, BSc, BSW and BBA and that too for second and fourth-semester students. The University further clarified that the exams scheduled on September 30, 2021, will be conducted as per the schedule and there will be no change in them or any other scheduled exams. 

The announcement about the same was made by Konatham Dileep, Director, Digital Media, Telangana via his Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Important Announcement: All exams to be held under Osmania University on 28 and 29 September, 2021 are postponed due to incessant rains." 

The Osmani University's official press release read, "The Revised Time Table for UG (BA/BCom/B.Sc/BBA/B.S.W) II and IV Semesters (Regular and Backlog) & PGRRCDE-UG examinations will be posted in OU website shortly." Students are advised to keep watching this space and the official website to get more details on revised exam dates.

Osmania University is the seventh oldest in the country and second oldest in South India.
