According to the reports, this new campus of Delhi University will be focused on teaching and researching different branches of plant sciences including agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics.

DU Faculty Centre at Shahbad Dairy: The University of Delhi is all set to establish a facility centre at Shahbad Dairy in Rohini to study plant sciences and promote research work in this field. According to the reports, this new campus of Delhi University will be focused on teaching and researching different branches of plant sciences including agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics. The inspection of the area for a new research centre was conducted by a team of Delhi University faculty headed by its Vice-Chancellor Profession PC Joshi. The University will be building the plant genetic research centre to study agriculture, horticulture, forestry and plant genetics.

Meanwhile, the University also commence the admission process for foreign students for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Foreign national students interested in DU Admissions 2021 are required to apply for the courses online only. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the whole process has been kept via virtual mode only. Delhi University is offering more than 250 programmes. The University also stated that foreign students won’t have to undergo any entrance test for admission.

The online application forms are available at fsr2021.du.ac.in. Students can fill the forms and apply online for admissions through the foreign students’ registrar office website – fsr.du.ac.in.

DU also released fresh guidelines owing to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the state. It has been advised to the students and hostellers to avoid visiting laboratories and libraries until necessary by the DU authority. As per the circular, all the essential activities such as practical work and other academic activities will continue with standard operating procedures. The University of Delhi will deploy a thermal screening kiosk at the gates and people will be allowed entry only through valid identity cards. Anyone entering the varsity will have to mention the purpose of their visit.
