Delhi University will hold DU Centenary Run today

Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra will be flagging for the event from the Delhi University Sports Complex Ground. For the run, the slogan "Run for DU" will be used to mark 75 years of Independence. A large number of students, teachers, DU non-teaching staff, research scholars and alumni will be taking part in the DU Run today.

Delhi University will hold DU Centenary Run today

Delhi University will hold the ‘DU Centenary Run’ today; i.e. November 18, 2022. The Centenary Run has been organised in honor of 100 years since the establishment of Delhi University and to mark 75 years of Independence for India. The DU Centenary Run will commence today, November 18 from 8 am onwards.

A large number of students, teachers, DU non-teaching staff, research scholars and alumni will be taking part in the DU Run today.

Delhi University has organsied its centenary run under the Fit India Movement. Fit India Movement is a nationwide campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda will be present at the DU Centenary Run as the chief guest. Vivek Thakur, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, will be present as the guest of honour.

"The University of Delhi is organizing a centenary run on November 18 under the slogan 'Run for DU' to commemorate 75 years of the country's independence and 100 glorious years of its academic excellence, the University of Delhi will organise the run on Friday, November 18 at 8 am," read an official statement issued by DU. The inaugural function for DU’s Centenary run will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Yogesh Singh.
