DU admissions 2020: Application process for UG/ PG admission extended
The University of Delhi extended the application process for admission to undergraduate/ postgraduate (UG/ PG) courses.
DU admissions 2020 date extended! The University of Delhi extended the application process for admission to undergraduate/ postgraduate (UG/ PG) courses. The last date to apply or DU Admission 2020 is July 31. DU informed about the extension application date via an official notice. The official notice published by the University reads, “All eligible applicants are informed that the last date of the online registration process of all the courses (Under-graduate (UG), Post-graduate (PG), MPhil, PhD programmes) has been extended up to 5 pm July 31, 2020.” Initially, the application process was scheduled to be closed on July 4.
Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the university decided to extend the last date. Those who wish to apply for admission at the Delhi University but have not done yet can register at du.ac.in. Various media reports suggest that the number of applications received is way more than the last year. They also suggest that reason behind the increased number of registration could be because of the change of the mind of the students who wanted to study abroad but are applying in DU due to COVID-19 outbreak.Rs 250 is the registration fee for merit-based courses is. Registration fee for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/EWS category, is Rs 100. An additional registration fee for ECA/Sports quota will be Rs 100 while for the entrance-based course, a fee of Rs 750 will be applicable. For reserved category candidates, a fee of Rs 300. According to the registration stats, the total number of registration that took place on the first day of the opening of the registration portal by Delhi University is 25,889. As on July 18, 11 am, over 6.20 lakh students registered with the varsity.
