Goa University Admissions 2022: Goa University has announced that it will begin the admission process for the doctorate programme from tomorrow; i.e. March 8, 2022. The admission process will begin for the courses that are offered at the varsity and affiliated institutions, including the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) and the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research in the state.

All those students who are interested in Goa University Admissions 2022 must note that the varsity will accept the applications on its portal for admission from March 8 to 25 and interviews will be held from April 11 to 13. Of the various seats on offer are 50 seats at the NIO, 22 seats at Goa College of Engineering and six at Goa College of Music.
Goa University Admissions 2022: Eligibility
The University said, "Applicants are eligible to apply for a maximum of three programmes. Admission to the PhD programme for the March 2022 session is open to candidates, who have qualified in the examinations of apex bodies such as CSIR-UGC/UGC NET JRF/lectureship, SET/SLET/JEST/ICAR-NET examination of different Indian states/ GATE with a valid certificate, those having DST Inspire fellowship, or those awarded MPhil degree as per the UGC guidelines."
It has, however, said that students who have completed their MPhil through the distant mode will not be eligible for admissions.
All those who have qualified in the Goa University PhD Entrance Test (GU-PET), conducted in December 2020 and August 2021, can also seek admission for doctorate programme seats, the varsity said.
