Goa University Vice-Chancellor Harilal Menon inaugurates auditorium and other infrastructure at VMSIIHE

 

March 22, 2022: V M Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), Goa's leading hospitality institute, has erected a luxury auditorium hall and a state-of-the-art kitchen. Harilal B Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Goa University, performed the inauguration in the presence of Director/Principal Prof. Irfan Mirza and other dignitaries and visitors.

Harilal B Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Goa University, said at the inaugural occasion, "The infrastructure inaugurated today will play a vital part in the students' development." This institute places a strong emphasis on practical teaching and world-class facilities that meet worldwide standards."

The newly inaugurated theatre is 528 square metres in size and features a fully air-conditioned seating area, well-ventilated corridors, green rooms, and a storage area. The hall has a seating capacity of 350 people and is outfitted with wooden panelled designed walls, LED lights, and plush interiors.

As part of the institute's recent announcement of the BSc Culinary Arts programme, an ultra-modern kitchen of world level has been added to the existing infrastructure. Working tables, induction ranges, sinks, work stations, griddle plate, deep fryer, convection oven, refrigerator, hand-wash sink, and other types of cooking containers, tools, and equipment necessary by students are all included in the kitchen. The kitchen's distinguishing characteristic is its ability to be arranged in a variety of ways to provide the optimum training and teaching environment.

Both of these additions will undoubtedly contribute to the Institute's infrastructural enhancement.
