Students will also have the option to attend the convocation in person or receive their degree and diploma by post. The students will be required to attend the convocation and collect the certificate at their regional centres where they belong and not at any other regional centre.
IGNOU in its official website stated that "All the students must fill the present address at which they want to receive their degree, diploma or certificate during the online registration. In case, the convocation is not held at the regional centre due to any circumstances where the student belongs, the student will then have to attend the convocation at other nearby regional centres which may be mostly in the same state or nearby state."
“Otherwise his/her Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate will be sent to his/her address by post. Intimation in this regard will be issued later on,” it added.
After the convocation, the concerned regional centre will mail degrees and diplomas to students who were not invited to the convocation or who were unable to attend the convocation even after paying the required fee; in the case of PG certificate or certificate programmes, certificates will be sent by headquarters.
IGNOU advised such students to get in touch with the respective Regional Center or Headquarters, depending on the situation.
