IGNOU Courses: Indira Gandhi National Open University and National Commission for Women have launched three new micro-credential courses focused on women’s issues, workplace safety and gender awareness. These two institutions signed an agreement to strengthen learning, awareness and capacity building on issues affecting women. Gender Sensitisation: Society and Culture
POSH course will help learners understand workplace safety and promote respectful and safe working environments. Women’s Leadership course will focus on leadership skills, capacity building, professional development and workplace behaviour. It aims to help women strengthen their participation and leadership in professional spaces. Gender Sensitisation course will examine gender-related issues from social and cultural perspectives. It will help learners develop a better understanding of gender equality and related concerns.
Focus on awareness and empowerment
IGNOU-NCW partnership will also focus on legal and constitutional awareness, women’s empowerment, digital and cyber safety, leadership development, research and gender sensitisation. Through these courses, institutions aim to build practical skills and greater awareness about women’s rights, safety and participation in society and workplace.
