IGNOU Latest News

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has collaborated with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to launch the CII–IGNOU Career Edge Academy. The collaboration will provide job-oriented training programs in fields like hospitality, healthcare, IT, banking & finance, cybersecurity, event management, and various languages. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of IGNOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Uma Kanjilal and senior representatives from the government and academic industry, including officials from the Ministries of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Tourism.

The CII and IGNOU will collectively offer skill-based courses, link them with government apprenticeship schemes, and offer training in both online and offline modes to the eligible students. Courses will be available in multiple languages to make them accessible for students in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, as well as rural areas of the country.

A: 

As per the official brochure released, a student is allowed to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously through ODL / Online mode, as per the illustration given below.
