IIT Guwahati invites applications for MA in Development Studies; check details here

Aspiring candidates must note that the application forms can be submitted online at the official website of the institute; i.e. iitg.ac.in on or before April 12, 2021.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is now inviting applications for admission to the MA in Development Studies at the institute on a full-time basis.

It must be noted that the admissions will be done in two categories. In the regular and full-time category, students will be given admission on the basis of their performance in the written test and/ or interview conducted by the concerned academic department/ center, academic credential of the candidates, etc.

Candidates must note that there are 60 seats for the program. Reservation will be as per the government rules.

IIT Guwahati Admissions 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the course must hold a Bachelor’s (10+2+3) degree (Major/Honours) or equivalent from the recognized university, in any discipline, with a minimum of wither 50 per cent marks or 5.0 CPI in a 10-point scale ( a minimum of either 45 per cent aggregate marks or 4.5 CPI in a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in a major/ honours only.

Those without Major/ Honours courses, need to have the concerned degree with a minimum of either 50 per cent aggregate marks or 5.0 CPI in a 10-point scale ( a minimum of either 45 per cent aggregate marks or 4.5 CPI in a 10-point scale for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates).

Aspiring candidates must note that the application forms can be submitted online at the official website of the IIT Guwahati; i.e. iitg.ac.in on or before April 12, 2021.

The application fee is Rs 150 for females/ Transgender/ SC/ ST/ PwD applicants and Rs 300 for all others, which need to be paid through online mode.
