The 4.5 golden stars rating has been awarded to Jamia Hamdard for undertaking various initiatives and activities prescribed by the Innovation Cell, MoE. Jamia Hamdard has received the top rating in the region for its vibrant innovative ecosystem. Since its inception, the University is carrying out various activities aimed at promoting innovation, start-ups, and entrepreneurship by involving both the faculty and the students.
“It is a moment of great pride for us that we have been awarded such rating by MIC, Through our solution-oriented methodology to education, we have been incessantly making strides to provide our students and faculties with an ecosystem where they can express their entrepreneurship skills”, says Vice-Chancellor, Prof Seyed Ehthesham Hasnain.

The different innovative initiatives and practices undertaken by the faculty were compiled and reported to the MIC's portal from time to time. The University had to effectively follow the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell prescribed calendar of activities. In addition, we were also required to take part in a series of MIC driven initiatives, which revolved around the promotion and development of entrepreneurship. The final factor which was to be satisfied for this rating was in regard to the institutions’ self-driven initiatives, where Jamia Hamdard had an edge over ensuring the active engagement of its students and faculties in innovation centered initiatives, says Prof. M. Afshar Alam, Dean and Incharge IIC, Jamia Hamdard.
