Lucknow University Semester Examinations 2022 scheduled to be held today;i.e. September 16 have been postponed owing to heavy rainfall followed by severe waterlogging in many parts of the city. University spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Srivastava said that the new date sheet for the LU Semester Examinations 2022 will be announced anytime soon.
Candidates who were scheduled to appear for the exams are advised to visit the official website of the varsity to get updates on the revised schedule. Owing to the heavy rains that have been lashing Lucknow since the past 24-hours, the district administration has also announced that the schools in Uttar Pradesh’s state capital will also remain closed, Met Department officials said.
As per the orders of the District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar, schools affiliated with all Boards, up to class 12 will remain closed today; i.e. September 16 following the heavy downpour and water logging in many parts of the city. The school management has also been directed to communicate to all parents and students through their respective WhatsApp groups that the schools will remain closed due to the inclement weather and heavy downpour. The order applies to all the urban and rural area schools.
In the past 24 hours, several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Jhansi, Orai, Lucknow, Kanpur and Bahraich have witnessed torrential rainfall.
