M S University inks MoU with University of Cape coast to promote joint research activities

M S University’s Office of International Affairs has inked its 81st MoU with The University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana to promote joint research activities and engage in research-based policy solutions sustainably. Experts of both universities can participate as co-guides for masters or doctoral dissertation work with MSU teams in the areas of mutual interest. It will also facilitate curricular development or joint online courses.

The MoU was signed by professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, vice-chancellor (VC) of UCC and who visited MSU in presence of professor Kwaku Boakye, director of UCC’s Office of International Affairs and professor Richmond Afoakwah, senior professor of forensic medicine at UCC apart from officials from the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) Gujarat, Gandhinagar.

From MSU, the signatories included MSU VC professor V K Srivastava, officiating registrar Dr K M Chudasama and professor Vanisha Nambiar, deputy director of MSU’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). The MoU was facilitated by ICCR Gandhinagar and professor Dhanesh Patel, director of MSU’s OIA.

“The key areas of interest are pharmacy, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, life science, medicine, arts and music, biological sciences and biotechnology and education and school of international studies,” said Patel, as reported by TOI.

Established in October 1962, UCC, is a public collegiate university. Located in the historic town of Cape Coast, the campus has a rare seafront and sits on a hill overlooking the wide Atlantic Ocean and has a student population of 74,720.
