With the resumption of offline classes, now many Universities across the country are planning to hold the examination in offline mode. However, the students are not happy with the decision. Many students have raised concerns that since they have been writing exams online mode from last two years, it would be difficult for them to all of a sudden appear for the exam in physical mode.
Several students from Mumbai University had been protesting against the varsity’s decision to hold the examination in offline mode. After which, on April 13, Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant announced additional 15 minutes for each hour students sit for an offline exam.

Meanwhile, Delhi University, students have also been demanding that their end semester examinations should be held online. The varsity reopened in February and decided to conduct the offline exams for second, fourth and sixth semesters. It must be noted that the DU Semester Exams 2022 for first, third, and fifth semesters will be conducted in online OBE mode.
“Delhi University had released the notification for the offline examinations on February 9. The majority of the coursework has been completed online and we have attended just over two months of offline classes. It will be not right on University’s part to hold examination in offline mode.
The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has declared it will begin the semester exams in offline mode from May 2. The first semester exams of the SPPU are underway and will be completed on April 18.

With students demanding the online exams nation-wide, the question remains if the authorities will listen to the pleas and conduct the exams in the mode as demanded or not.
