Panjab University Semester Exams 2021: Check fresh guidelines here

Students will be given 60 minutes to submit/upload a single pdf answer sheet after the duration of the exam.

PU Semester Exams 2021: Panjab University (PU) commenced the online exams for its even-semester from June 28. The varsity also issued fresh instructions/guidelines about online examinations of even semester students appearing for the exams. PU authorities said that “in accordance with previous instructions issued for students at colleges/university departments/regional centres and USOL/private/ re-appear students, students should not attach their admit card and roll number with the answer sheet. Also, they are not required to sign anywhere on the answer sheet. Examination department officials said that evaluation of answer sheets of regular students is subject to authentication of roll numbers by the college/university department/regional centre concerned.”

Dr Jagat Bhushan, controller of examination also informed that the undergraduate/post-graduate theory examinations of even semesters would commence from Monday for all classes except for second semester. According to the reports, the exams for semester would begin from July 9 to compensate for delayed start of the second semester. Students appearing for the exams must note that regular students of colleges/departments/centres would be issued roll numbers from their respective college/department/centre and private and USOL candidates could download their roll numbers from Panjab University websites, ugexam.puchd.ac.in and pgexam.puchd.ac.in.

The exam question papers would also be available on these sites. Instructions available on the question papers must be followed strictly by the candidates with regard to duration of time as well as number of questions to be attempted. Undergraduate students can use 20 A4 size sheets and PG students can use 24 A4 size sheets. Only one side of the sheet will be used for writing answers. Panjab University has modified the format of the first page of question paper to maintain confidentiality and it will be available on the website. The prescribed format must be followed by the students strictly. Students will be given 60 minutes to submit/upload a single pdf answer sheet after the duration of the exam. Panjab University authorities have allowed re-evaluation and re-checking of answer sheets as per University rules, he added.
