Panjab University is spread across an area of almost 550 acres in North Campus and South Campus. Panjab University Chandigarh campus has a Library, Sports Centre, Hostel, Shopping Centre, Swimming Pool and Health Care Institute along-with student-centric support centers. - Auditorium: A multi-purpose auditorium is under construction in PU South campus. Panjab University auditorium will have a seating capacity of 2,300 people. There will be three small auditoriums, banquet hall, senate hall and spaces for offices in the auditorium.
- Library: PU library is known as AC Joshi Library. The Library building has 5 floors with seating capacity of around 1,000 readers. Panjab University library has a collection of more than 8 lakh books, journals and publications along-with special collection of 1,493 manuscripts. Panjab University library has spacious reading halls and compact stack areas, with open access. It is a fully computerized library with an integrated system connected to the campus network. Besides the two main reading halls, there are separate areas for textbooks, newspapers, and current periodicals.
- Student Centre: This Centre is situated at the middle of campus. It has indoor game section at the 1st floor and placement cell at the 2nd floor. The Centre also has a South India Cafeteria. There are shops around the centre and ATM facility is also provided.
- Hostel: There are a total of 21 residence halls at the campus out of which 11 are for Girls and 8 are for Boys. In addition, there is 1 separate hostel for working women, 2 sports hostels and an International hostel. Panjab University hostel seats are provided to students purely on merit basis. One more hostel for girls particularly research scholar is under construction.
- Health: Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Institute of Health provides all the health facilities and services at campus. The Institute is fully-equipped with experienced staffs, clinical labs and machines. The existing infrastructure has been upgraded with 24X7 emergency and ambulance services. The Institute has a fully equipped modern clinical laboratory, computerized ECG machine and fully- digitized 500A X-ray unit.
- Sports: Playground for all major sports are there at the campus. In addition, there’s an AC Gymnasium hall, 400m grassy Athletic Track (8 lanes), swimming pool and Diving Pool. Panjab University sports facilities include basketball courts, volleyball courts, hockey ground, football grounds, kabaddi courts, cricket ground, synthetic lawn tennis courts and multipurpose hall for indoor games. An international standard 10 meter shooting range is also functional on campus.
