In overall 14 open universities, Pt Sunderlal Sharma Open University stood at second position in grade of NAAC after Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). As per the process of gradation by NAAC, a team of NAAC has made a three-day visit to the university campus, its different departments, and also of its regional study centers which are located in various districts of the state including three centers in the Durg district.
Pt.Sunderlal State Open University awarded NAAC A grade
Pt Sunderlal State Open University of Chhattisgarh has bagged an A grade in the first cycle of assessment from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With a 3.28 CGPA and A grade, Pt Sunderlal Sharma Open University became the first and only university in Chhattisgarh that has succeeded to get A grade.
In overall 14 open universities, Pt Sunderlal Sharma Open University stood at second position in grade of NAAC after Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). As per the process of gradation by NAAC, a team of NAAC has made a three-day visit to the university campus, its different departments, and also of its regional study centers which are located in various districts of the state including three centers in the Durg district.
The inspection team of NAAC that has visited the university and made a report for giving grade and CGPA points include Dr K R S Sambashiva, former Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram Central University; Dr K Sitaram Rao, Vice-Chancellor of BR Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad; Dr Bhashi Marath, Dean of Kochi University of Science and Technology; Prof Hema Sunder Naidu from Devi Ahilya Bai University Indore and Dr Vijay Jaiswal from CCS University Meerut.
During their visit, Prof B C Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Pt Sunderlal Sharma Open University gave a presentation on the university and registrar, Indu Anant threw light on important information about the university. The two members, Prof Hema Sunder Naidu and Dr. Vijay Jaiswal have also visited the study centers of the university in Durg district and saw the reports of centers and have also collected information regarding the academic achievements of study centers in the last decade.
