Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh decided to conduct its odd semester examinations for UG, PG and professional courses from January 15, 2021, onward tentatively. The official reports suggest that the candidates who could not appear or failed in the exit classes exams in September 2020 will also be allowed to appear for the examination. The University decided to conduct examinations in online mode for all categories including professional courses and deficient subjects of intermediate even semesters.

PU authorities also instructed that the scores of reappearing candidates who had failed in the September exams will be cancelled and the result for January 2021 exams will be considered for future references.

On the other hand, PU syndics have expressed their concerns and aggravation for conducting the exams online considering the issues involved in it. Considering the same, they also issued a letter to the VC of PU requesting to organise the exams in physical or offline mode only. As the exams for undergraduate, postgraduate and other courses were delayed and the online exams were not conducted smoothly.

Panjab University students must note that the University has already announced its decision to conduct the re-appear exams for UG/PG/professional courses and those who have already filled the reappear forms for May 2020, don’t have to register again.
