Last year, the University of Delhi was recognized as the institution of eminence (IoE) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
The University of Delhi (DU) stepped forward to take an initiative “research without barriers” for the research community. The initiative is taken to enable the research community to transform their “finest” ideas into quality products and outputs.
DU launched this “research without barriers” initiative under the banner of the institution of eminence (IoE). Last year, the University of Delhi was recognized as the institution of eminence (IoE) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
To make an announcement about the initiative, DU published an official press release on its website. According to the press release, the initiative aims at widening the contours of research work, expanding it and changing the way the research is carried out.
The official statement reads, “The “research without barriers” initiative envisages promoting research among the wider community of individuals who can concretize ideas and create excellence through transforming those ideas into actionable solutions and applications in science, technology, sustainability, public health, skill development and enhancement, policy, governance, management and justice system with reference to India and the globe.”
Research Proposal Submission
The University suggests that the proposed research will not be confined within the traditional domains of knowledge. The initiative aims at breaking the institutional barriers, disciplinary silos and geographic boundaries. The programme enables forging new opportunities and collaborations nationally and internationally.
It is also expected that the initiative will boost the university’s national and global rankings. Through the advertisement, DU also invited worldwide participation and partnership of academics, researchers, practitioners and others from any sphere of knowledge, under this initiative. Interested researches can submit the research proposal online on the university’s website: http://ioe.du.ac.in/. As there is no timeline to submit the research proposal, candidates can submit their proposals whenever they wish to. The submission window will remain open.
