The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has announced that it is for the first time opening the admissions for foreign students in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate courses and short-skill programmes. 

SKUAST-K Vice-Chancellor, Nazeer Ahmad Ganai, released an information brochure of admission in undergraduate and post-graduate programmes for Indian and International students, an official spokesperson said, as reported by NDTV.

Ganai enumerated the benefits of studying at the university, saying Kashmir has adventure and agri-eco tourism as well as winter sporting activities.

Meanwhile, CSK HP Agriculture University (CSKHPAU) and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster academic and research cooperation. The MoU was signed by Professor HK Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the CSKHPAU and Dr Nazir Ahmad Ganai, VC of the SKUAST at Srinagar.

While speaking on the CSKHPAU VC sai that the MoU will facilitate the exchange of students under the sandwich and twinning postgraduate degree programme. The students under the programme could pursue their course work or research or both at the partner university during their residency period, he said.
