SPPU Exams 2021 postponed for MCom programme, check new dates here

SPPU will be conducting the examination in an online proctored method for BA, BCom, MA and MBA courses from December 7.

SPPU Exam 2021: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has postponed the examinations under the distance education programme for first-year and second-year MCom students. The exams were scheduled to be held from December 7 to December 10. As per the new schedule, the exams will now be conducted from December 21-24.

SPPU had been receiving requests from students to postpone the exams as it was falling on the same dates as the exams for the Chartered Accountancy foundation course held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The CA foundation course exams are being held from December 6-20.

SPPU will be conducting the examination in an online proctored method for BA, BCom, MA and MBA courses from December 7.

“We have only postponed exams for the first and second-year MCom students. All other exams will be as per schedule. Students should not get confused and must refer to the website for the detailed timetable,” said Vaibhav Jadhav, Director in-charge, School of Open Learning, SPPU.

Meanwhile, the building construction department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has given a stay order on ongoing barricading work around the main building of the SPPU. For the last few weeks, the entire main building premises has been closed with barricading of iron grills, gates and stone. It was opposed by several student organisations as the university building is a ‘heritage building’ and needs permission from the PMC building construction department to do any development works around it.
