SPPU to introduce one-year diploma course in Urdu; check details here

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is all set to introduce a diploma course in the Urdu language from this academic year. The one-year diploma program introduced by SPPU will offer a total of 80 seats. Candidates must note that the admission to the course will be on the basis of the candidates' merit in the qualifying entrance examination conducted by SPPU's Department of Hindi.
The exam will carry 100 marks and will be divided into two sections – language-specific and general, worth 80 and 20 marks respectively. Candidates must note that negative marking is applicable. The whole admission process will be conducted online and aspiring candidates can send their applications on or before January 27, 2021.
The online registration process will be deemed concluded upon submission of required certificates and applications. Candidates can send their applications on https://campus.unipune.ac.in/ccep/login.aspx on or before January 27.
The University houses 46 academic departments, 12 faculties and 52 research centres. It has about 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges offering UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, PhD and certificate courses in 17 distinct fields of education. The University attracts many foreign students due to its excellent facilities. It also offers distance learning courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) earlier in the week had announced that it won't be reopening the colleges affiliated with it on January 11, 2021, as mentioned in the previous circular. On January 4, 2021, UniPune issued a circular stating that the offline classes will commence in affiliated colleges from January 11, 2021, which is now cancelled by the university.
