Colleges, Universities in Odisha to reopen from today following COVID protocols

Odisha colleges, Universities will reopen from today following all COVID-19 safety protocols for the first-year undergraduate students.

Odisha government has given permission to colleges, universities and other educational institutions in the state to reopen. The colleges, Universities will reopen from today; i.e. September 20, 2021. Students of the first-year undergraduate, UG courses will be allowed to attend the offline classes. 

Odisha colleges, Universities will reopen from today following all COVID-19 safety protocols for the first-year undergraduate students. Students and staff will have to make sure that they wear masks all the time, social distancing protocols are maintained along with proper sanitization. It will also be the responsibility of the college, University management to ensure that proper sanitisation of surroundings is done. 

Though the campus will reopen, it won't be mandatory for students to attend. Those who don't wish to attend on-campus classes yet can continue with online classes. Once students and staff reach the campus, thermal Screening will be done to make sure that those coming to campus have normal body temperature.  

Meanwhile, the Central University of Odisha (CUO) has extended the last date for submission of the online application form for admissions into various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Integrated Post-Graduate and Research courses. As per the official notification released by the University, the last date to submit the online application form is now September 30, 2021. Candidates can fill and submit the online application form by visiting the official website of the University; i.e. cuo.ac.in.

For the current academic year, the Central University of Odisha is inviting applications for 31 courses, including 2 year PG courses, MA in Odia, MA in English, M. in Hindi, MA in Sanskrit, MSc in Anthropology, MA in Sociology, MA in Economics, MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Master of Business Administration (MBA), MSc in Statistics and MSc in Computer Science.
