Central University of Odisha.
Placements: At this time (2024-25), there are no placements and job opportunities. There is no placement cell. Maybe in a few years, Central University of Odisha can provide that, but you can try off-campus placements with the permission of the respective HOD. It's all about Central University of Odisha placements.
Infrastructure: Central University of Odisha provides hostel facilities along with full campus Wi-Fi. The academic building has Wi-Fi. There are more than 40 classrooms and 3 seminar halls. Each department has a laboratory. Hostel all facilities are good enough. Its environment is suitable for all. On campus, there is one primary health center, one doctor, and 3 staff members.
Faculty: All lecturers are highly qualified and helpful. Maximum lectures are GATE or NET-qualified. Most of them already completed their Ph.D. Maximum lecturers have 10 to 12 years of teaching experience. The course curriculum is excellent as per UGC guidelines. It is also very useful to UGC NET and GATE aspirants. All lecturers also help to prepare for competitive exams like UGC, NET, GATE, and research-oriented examinations.
Other: Central University of Odisha is one of the popular universities in Odisha. Maybe it doesn't provide any placement, but it provides free coaching for UPSC and OPSC along with various competitive exams like UGC, CSIR NET, and GATE. The course curriculum is nearly the same as the syllabus of GATE. CUO provides state scholarships like E-Medhabruti and post-matric. It provides national scholarships like post-matric and others.

Excellent university for students.
Placements: We are recently studying 69 students in your batch. We will complete our course in 2027. We have a wide government and administrative job for our recruitment. Seminars are ongoing, and an internship is planned for us. Students can do jobs both in government and technical sections.
Infrastructure: A developed infrastructure is provided to us with all facilities available. Food quality is good in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities are available 24 hours a day for students. Don't have well-developed grounds for cricket. And have ground for volleyball and badminton.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified with more than 5 years of experience. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are good. As we have 10 to 14 papers in the semester, it is a little bit tough in the semester exam. Pass percentage is 55% for each semester.
Other: I chose this course to have better knowledge in agriculture, and I will be the backbone of my country. Our campus is good with seminar and extracurricular activities held in time.

I am satisfied with guest teachers, nominal fees, and good facilities.
Placements: There are no campus placements cells. But students are well trying their own and placed in good positions. Faculty members are giving their best to crack UGC NET and entry to PSUs. Around 10-15% of students doing internships provided by this college in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
Infrastructure: The facilities like transportation, Wi-Fi, and library are there. In view, classrooms are now under construction. Hostels are a great place to reside. Good quality of food is provided with minimal cost around Rs 70 per day for 3 times. Sports and indoor games are available to play. In case of medical a doctor and nurse is there, and 24X7 ambulance service is also available.
Faculty: This university runs short of regular faculty members however guest teachers are good. The quality of education is good. The syllabus is vast and well organized. Surely after studying here one can gain vast knowledge and experience. Exams are tough and case-based often. The pass percentage is around 40% for a semester.
Other: First of all, it comes under Central Government Universities and minimal fees are there. It should have placements cell and regular faculty members then it would be better. State scholarships are provided for EWC, OBC, SC, ST candidates. Surroundings are full of the natural environment, and there is no disturbance. Many events are there to celebrate in the hostel as well as campus throughout the year.

On Cutoffs
Q:   Can I get into Central University of Orissa, MBA with 70% in OJEE?
A:

You have a good chance of getting an MBA with 70% in OJEE. But it is not sure. There's not much information on OJEE's acceptance rate for CUO's MBA programme, however it's typically used for engineering admissions in Odisha. In the selection process, it may be considered, but it does not carry as much weight as other considerations such as work experience or in-person interviews.

The average score distribution, total number of applications, and available seats are some of the variables that affect the cutoff scores for CUO's MBA programme every year. It's possible that this year's OJEE score of 70% won't be enough, unlike in years past. Inquire about the most recent cutoff trends and get clarification on the significance of OJEE results in the MBA admissions process by getting in touch with the CUO admissions office directly.

Q:   What are the cut-off marks for Central University of Odisha?
A:

Central University of Odisha considers the CUET scores followed by counselling for admission to its various UG courses. To be eligible for admission to CUO, candidates are required to register and appear for CUET. In 2020, CUET closing cutoff for B.Ed programme was 55.5.

Q:   Is BSc at Central University of Orissa better than Berhampur University, Odisha?
A:

No, B.Sc at Central University of Orissa is not better than Berhampur University, Odisha. Both colleges provide good B.Sc. programmes, each with advantages and disadvantages of their own. Compared to CUO, BU may offer fewer alternatives for B.Sc. specialisations, but it does provide well-known programmes in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Strong research backgrounds and extensive expertise are among the professors at BU, especially in the well-established scientific fields.

BU offers career support services and an extensive alumni network, which may improve placement possibilities in traditional Science professions. Although the costs can be a little higher, there might be more scholarship opportunities. BU offers a more expansive campus, a thriving student body, and a wide range of extracurricular activities.

Q:   Is MA at Central University of Orissa better than North Orissa University (NOU Orissa)?
A:

Comparision between these two answers is a bit difficult but here are some opints that might help:

1. NOU Orissa has a Training and Placement Cell that arranges training and placements for students, while Central University of Orissa does not have a placement cell so i would say NOU Orissa is a better option.

2. Both universities offer an MA in Odia, and both are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and have a grade of 'B+' from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)

Q:   Which college has more economcial fee for B.Sc courses among Central University of Odisha and NOU?
A:

The fee structure of both the universities include various components, such as tuition fee, security deposit, and more. CUO BSc (H) tuition fee range between INR 4,800 and INR 49,600. While the tuition fee for BSc at North Orissa University range between INR 6,000 and INR 2.9 lakh. Considering the fee range, Central University of Odisha has more economical fee structure. It must also be noted that the mentioned fee amount is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

At Central University of Odisha (CUO), the B.Ed route is mainly taught in English.

All classes, notes, and checks are in English. Only language subjects like Hindi or Odia are taught in their personal language.

So, for B.Ed, students have to be geared up to observe in English medium.
