COVID-19 Scare in Inia: The government of Karnataka has released official orders making masks mandatory in all schools and colleges in the state. The decision has been taken in wake of spiking COVID-19 cases in several countries. The official order makes face masks mandatory for students and teachers and all other staff at the school.
Amid the rising coronavirus cases, the Karnataka government held a meeting on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar along with Revenue Minister and State Disaster Management Authority vice-chairman R Ashoka
Prevention better than cure
Revenue Minister R Ashoka on Monday said schools and colleges will have to adhere to COVID protocols like wearing masks and using sanitizers, among others.
"There is no need to panic. The measures are being taken as a precaution. No fine will be imposed. We will take further decisions after a meeting with the Chief Minister," the Minister added.

Meanwhile, stating that various regions are recording a spike in COVID-19 cases, Uttarakhand government has also made masks mandatory in all private as well as government schools. Uttarakhand Director General of Education Bansidhar Tiwari said every employee, teacher, and child will have to wear masks in the school.
