UCEED 2027 eligibility criteria allow students from Science, Commerce, and Arts to appear for the exam. While non-Science students can apply to IIT Bombay, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Indore, campuses like IIT Guwahati require a PCM background.
IIT Bombay is accepting online applications for undergraduate design admissions through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2027. One of the most common doubts by design aspirants revolves around the UCEED 2027 eligibility criteria regarding academic backgrounds. Many students frequently ask: Can Science, Commerce or Arts students apply for UCEED? Is there any strict UCEED eligibility for arts students? and other doubts.
To clear up this confusion, the official guidelines state that all applicants from all academic fields, i.e. Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities, can sit for the test. However, structural variations in BDes admission eligibility rules at IITs mean that candidates must check the individual subject requirements of participating institutes before filling out their application forms.
While any student who has completed or is appearing for their Class 12 or equivalent board exams in 2026 or 2027 can register for the exam, college allocations depend heavily on your 10+2 stream.
