The selected students are currently pursuing their bachelor in computer science from JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU). 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has selected eight BTech computer science (CSE) students of JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) for semester completion. Earlier in 2019-2020, the institute selected seven BTech from the university for the said purpose.

Paid internship at IIT Gandhinagar 

The selected students are good in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, R, and some variants of SQL. Yash Goyal, final year BTech (CSE) student, is among the eight students who have been selected for paid internship at IIT Gandhinagar. He will be working with their enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation team. Yash said, “The programming language and the curriculum gave me a definite edge in the selection process for the competitive programme. I am thankful to everyone that because of their prayers, I will spend my final semester at IIT Gandhinagar. The experience will give me the skills and knowledge that I need to continue my research.” 

The other JKLU students who have been selected by IIT Gandhinagar are Prachika Kanodia, Aakash Mittal, Jinal Swarnakar, Divyanshu Tripathy, Mohak Goyal, Somprabha Kashyap and Jaya Sodhani. 

“It’s a matter of pride that JKLU students are bringing laurels to their home university with their skills and hard work. We have tie-ups with top universities from countries abroad such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Asia Pacific regions to provide international experience to the students by studying in a different environment besides the leading educational institutes in India,” said Sanjay Goel, Director, Institute of Engineering & Technology, JKLU.
