IIT Gandhinagar PhD CDP Eligibility Criteria

At institute level, candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks or 5.5 CPI in their postgraduate degree programme or a four-year bachelor's degree programme in respective branch. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the minimum requirement is 50% marks or 5.0 CPI.

The institute has clarified that these are the minimum eligibility requirements at institute level. Candidates must also meet specific eligibility criteria prescribed by department to which they are applying. Department-wise eligibility requirements should therefore be checked before completing application.

IIT Gandhinagar PhD CDP Selection 

Admission to PhD Continuing Doctoral Programme is generally offered based on an interview. The interview may be supplemented by a written test, wherever considered necessary by respective department. IIT Gandhinagar will shortlist a limited number of candidates for written test and/or interview. 

Final selection will primarily be based on candidate's academic credentials and performance in written test and/or interview, wherever applicable. The respective departments will communicate mode of selection, whether online or offline, and dates of written test and interview to shortlisted candidates.
