AICTE asks institutions to submit details of new courses, nomenclature by Sept 25 for Approval Process Handbook

New courses, nomenclature will be included in the Approval Process Handbook for the year 2026-27.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited institutions to share details of new courses, nomenclature to be included in the Approval Process Handbook for the year 2026-27. Institutions have been asked to submit the details by September 25, 2025.
The technical education regulatory has issued a notice in which it has asked institutions to submit proposals regarding new course/nomenclature to be included in Approval Process Handbook 2026-27.
The AICTE notice reads, this is with reference to the above subject and kind attention is drawn to with respect to the Policy of Council in connection of Approval Process.
βIn this connection any University/institutions which proposes to start a new Course (Branch) and whose nomenclature is not available in Annexure- 11 of the Approval Process Handbook, prior concurrence by the Council for the same shall be necessary,β it reads.
The council has stated that for such concurrence, the university or institution with due endorsement by the Registrar of the affiliating university or Director of the affiliating Board shall submit detailed syllabus and Curriculum and its nomenclature to the Policy and academic Planning Bureau of the AICTE on or before 25th September.
