Students preparing for MHT CET 2027 may have to get ready much earlier than expected. MHT CET 2027 Timeline; First Attempt in December for Engineering

According to reports, the CET Cell wants to conduct the first attempt before JEE Main January session. Commissioner Sardesai said that most students complete their syllabus by December, which makes an earlier exam possible. The proposed plan suggests that the first attempt could be held between December 15, 2026 and January 15, 2027. The second attempt is expected to continue later in the academic year, similar to the current system.

This will be a major change for students because in the current session the MHT CET exam is being administered in April and May. With very less time between the two exams. Starting this year, the authority will conduct the MHT CET exam twice a year, students can appear in one or both attempts, and the better score will be considered for admission.

What This Means for MHT CET 2027 Aspirants?

As of now, the CET Cell has not released an official detailed timetable for MHT CET 2027. If the December attempt is officially confirmed, students preparing for MHT CET 2027 may need to complete their Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus much earlier. Coaching schedules, revision plans, and mock tests may also shift accordingly.

A:

While it is necessary that students pay special attention to chapters with high weightage, it is highly advised that they cover the full MHT CET syllabus. The question paper of MHT CET is prepared by considering the entire CET syllabus which consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from class 11 and 12. Important study material for MHT CET like books or short notes can be checked online. Students who are taking coaching can get the study materials from the coaching institutes.

The new pattern could benefit students by giving them an early opportunity before board exams and another chance later in the year. However, it may also increase pressure on aspirants with an early timeline.
