Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University has scrapped VITMEE 2020 for this academic year as per the latest notification. The online application window for the he Vellore Institute of Technology Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) 2020 entrance examination has now been closed.

Now, candidates can still apply for admissions to the postgraduate courses at the (VIT) University. The last date to apply for the admissions in MTech/ME is until June 20, 2020 on its official website. The online registration for VITMEE 2020 was earlier extended until May 15 by 11:59 pm as many aspirants were facing difficulty in applying for the exam due to COVID-19 lockdown across the country. More details regarding the scrapping of VITMEE 2020 is yet to be published/announced on the official website.

Highlights of VITMEE Scrapped Notification

  • VITMEE 2020 scrapped, no separate examination for admission to PG engineering
  • VITMEE Counselling 2020 will be based on candidates' academic performance (Marks up to a prefinal year) in a regular undergraduate degree
  • Candidates seeking admissions to ME/MTech courses in Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University need to fill the admission form until June 20
  • Candidates’ name must appear in JEE Main Merit List 2019 for admissions to engineering colleges in Bihar and 
  • Candidates with valid GATE score are also eligible to apply

Positive Outlook

  • Candidates who already have a valid GATE score are not required to take another entrance test for admissions to VIT
  • Candidates with good track records will have a chance to take admission directly

Don't have a valid gate score and my degree percent is 6.33 gpa upto 6th sem.should I apply for vit pg applications?.if applied,can I get a vellore campus .my branch is mechanical.and I'm from obc catagery.
