DASA UG 2026 registration for Foreign Nationals, NRIs, OCIs / PIOs seeking admission to UG programs in engineering, architecture, and planning at NITs, IIITs, SPAs, OtherGFTIs, and other technical institutes will start tomorrow. Admission will be based on JEE Main 2026 rank.

The admission process for Foreign Nationals, NRIs, OCIs / PIOs candidates in engineering courses at NITs, IIITs, GFTIs will start tomorrow. The admission process will be organized by IIEST Shibpur.

DASA UG 2026 Starts Tomorrow: Check Registration Process, Documents Required and Fees

Foreign Nationals / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are offered admission in UG engineering, architecture, planning, science courses in NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIITs, SPAs and a few other Technical Institutes under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. The shortlisting of candidates in all these institutes is done basis the basis of JEE Main scores.

The maximum number of seats available through DASA are 15% of the sanctioned seat of institute. Also, 5% of the total DASA seats are reserved for children of Indian workers in Gulf (CIWG).

The registration for DASA 2026 will start tomorrow, July 28. Interested candidates can register online from the website csab.nic.in. Candidates applying under DASA scheme must check the detailed eligibility criteria mentioned in the information brochure and ensure they fulfill all the conditions before applying. Candidates will also have to pay USD 300 as a registration fee and first semester tution fees while filling the form.

Who can apply for DASA?

To apply for DASA UG 2026, candidates must have a valid JEE Main 2026 score, born or or after October 1, 2001 and secured 75% or above in class 12.

All foreign nationals studying in any country including India or Indian nationals studying abroad are eligible. For Indian Nationals, they must have completed at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th and 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the same from abroad.
