DTU Integrated BSc-MSc Courses

DTU Updates: Delhi Technological University has announced many new academic programmes and initiatives during its annual press conference held to celebrate completion of 85 years. These new courses will be introduced in phases starting from 2026-27 academic session.

From the 2026–27 academic session, DTU will start two new Integrated BSc-MSc programmes in Data Science and Applied Statistics. These programmes will provide students with advanced knowledge and research opportunities in emerging fields.

Accelerated BTech-MS Programme with University of Houston

DTU has also launched a 4+1 Accelerated BTech-MS programme in collaboration with University of Houston, USA. Under this programme, students will complete their BTech at DTU and then pursue an MS degree at University of Houston. Eligible academic credits earned at DTU can be transferred, subject to admission policies of partner university.

Three New DTU BTech Courses Planned

DTU has announced plans to introduce three new BTech programmes over next two academic sessions. Mechanical and Automation Engineering will begin from 2026-27 session. Computer Science and Engineering and Quantum Technology are expected to start from 2027-28 academic session.

Double Major in Economics for BTech Students

To encourage interdisciplinary learning, DTU will introduce Double Major in Economics for BTech students from 2026-27 session. The programme will have Network Economics, Platform Economics, Economics of AI, Game Theory, Mechanism Design, Machine Learning for Economics and High-Frequency Algorithmic Trading. 

DTU has also integrated industry-recognised micro-credential programmes into its curriculum. These programmes have been developed in collaboration with organisations such as National Institute of Solar Energy, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, ANSYS-Synopsys, Siemens, IRISET, Premas Life Sciences, and the Wadhwani Foundation.

New Certificate Course and Sports Analytics Programme

For school students, DTU has introduced a six-week, 3-credit Certificate Course on Applied AI, Data Analytics and Entrepreneurship. The course is open to students from Class 9 onwards.

The university has also launched a Sports Analytics Programme, focusing on data analytics, artificial intelligence and performance analysis to prepare students for careers in sports technology and analytics.
