GATE 2026 Correction Facility Extended to March 15: Last Chance to Rectify Defects

IIT Guwahati has extended the GATE 2026 application form correction window till March 15 for provisional marked candidates. Candidates can access the form correction facility at GOAPS. Read below for more. 

GATE 2026 application form correction window to rectify defects has been extended till March 15. The facility is available only for provisional marked candidates. Candidates who have been marked as defect must log in at GOAPS using their enrollment ID and password and make the required changes within the deadline. This is the last chance to make changes in your GATE application form. If not done within the due date, the result will not be declared for such applicants. 

How to correct your GATE 2026 Application Form?

Candidates can check the process below on how to make changes in their application form (for defect correction). 

• Visit the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in
• Log in using the GATE GOAPS enrollment ID and password.
• Review the application status and make necessary corrections
• Submit the GATE application form. 

GATE Result 2026

Based on submissions, IIT Guwahati will announce the GATE 2026 result on March 19. Candidates who appeared for exam on Feb 7, 8, 14, and 15 can check their result and qualifying status at login page. The scorecard will be available from March 27 to May 31 for free. Later, candidates can download till December 31 by paying a fee of INR 500. 

IIT Guwahati has stated that no further extensions will be given after this. Failure to rectify defects may result in withholding your GATE 2026 result.
