GATE 2026 Registrations Begins Tomorrow (August 28): IIT Guwahati is all set to start the GATE 2026 registrations tomorrow (August 28) on the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates willing to apply must go through all the details, documents, steps and more below. 

GATE 2026 Application Form Begins Tomorrow
IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 application form tomorrow (August 28) for MTech, PhD admissions. The GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in will be activated once the application is released. The last date to submit the GATE 2026 online form is September 28, 2025 (with no late fees) and October 9, 2025 (with late fee charges). 
The authorities have released the GATE information brochure 2026 on the official website. Candidates are advised to go through the GATE 2026 official notification before applying.

How to fill the GATE Application Form 2026?

Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for the GATE 2026 application form -

  • Firstly, visit the official website of GATE and click on the application portal link
  • Register to receive your GATE enrollment ID and password.
  • Log in using your credentials (enrollment ID and password) and fill out your personal, educational qualifications, address, and other details
  • Upload the GATE 2026 registration documents and pay the fees
  • Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference. 

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed bachelor’s or are currently studying in the 3rd year or higher years of any undergraduate program from a government-recognised institute in engineering/science/technology/commerce/architecture, etc., are eligible for GATE admission 2026
