IIT Madras will start GATE 2027 registration on its official website starting from August 27, 2026. The application form window will be available at GOAPS. The GATE 2027 registration last date with regular fees is September 27, 2026, and with extended fees is October 5, 2026. Indian and International candidates meeting the GATE eligibility criteria can apply for GATE 2027 as per the exam dates.

Required Documents for GATE Application Form 2027
While filling the GATE exam form, candidates need to keep the following documents ready:

Scanned photograph and signature according to specifications

Valid ID proof, such as Aadhar UID, Aadhar virtual ID, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or any valid ID proof issued by Central or State Government
- SC/ST candidates must keep their category certificate ready
- PwD or Dyslexic candidates must keep their relevant certificate ready for registration
With above documents, candidates (Indian nationals) must update or create an account at DigiLocker for verification during GATE registration 2027.

GATE 2027 Exam Dates
IIT Madras will conduct the exam for six days. The GATE exam date 2027 are Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. The computer-based test will be held in two shifts: Forenoon and Afternoon for 30 subjects.
