GATE application form 2027 date has officially been announced. IIT Madras will open GATE GOAPS 2027 portal on August 14 for registrations. This year, candidates will have to undergo additional stages at the time of filling the GATE application form. Read below for more to know about new guidelines.
GATE Application Form 2027 Date: New Registration Guidelines, Fees, Eligibility
GATE 2027 application date has been announced, and will officially start from August 14 at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The GATE registration last date will be available in two deadlines: without late fee and with late fees. Candidates have to apply at GOAPS. Students meeting the eligibility criteria must register at GOAPS and submit the form within the specified GATE 2027 dates mentioned below:

GATE 2027 Registration: New Guidelines
This year, IIT Madras have implemented certain changes in GATE application form. The new guidelines include:

Students will have to create a verified Digilocker account for smooth registration process

In addition, students have to provide their facial details during registration

Submission of GATE 2027 application form will be done at GOAPS portal

To apply, applicants have to create an account at GOAPS to generate enrollment ID and password.
GATE 2027 Application Fees
The GATE fee remains unchanged this year. Candidates can check the GATE registration fee per paper below.

Note: For two papers, the fee payable is twice that of a single paper.
Who can apply for GATE 2027?
Candidates who are currently in third year, or higher or have completed their degree program in Engineering/Science/Technology/Architecture/Commerce/Arts can apply. GATE 2027 exam will be conducted for three consecutive weeks this year. The GATE 2027 exam dates are Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. Candidates are advised to keep all their documents ready before GATE registration 2027 begins.
