IGNOU June TEE 2020: Information to be released 15 days prior to exam date

IGNOU has said that it will inform students about the Term End Exam 15 days prior to the exam dates.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that all information related to the Term End Exam (TEE) will be announced by the varsity 15 days prior to the exam dates.

Earlier, IGNOU's June TEE exam was postponed due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.  For June TEE, IGNOU has opted for an online method for the submission of projects and assignments. To submit the projects, students can visit the official website of IGNOU i.e. ignou.ac.in.

Earlier, the varsity has also announced that it has extended the last date for students to submit the application form for June Term End Examination,

IGNOU assesses students on the basis of handwritten assignments and term-end exams. For many courses, there is also a project paper.

Once students submit the assignments and projects, students can apply for the exam and submit the application form for the exam. The exams are conducted in colleges or centres allotted by IGNOU.

Meanwhile, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced that schools in the country will reopen after August. So, it remains to be seen what decision IGNOU will take since many pending exams by CBSE and ICSE board will be conducted by mid-week of July.

Schools, colleges and universities have been closed in India due to the coronavirus pandemic since around March 16.

IGNOU, on June 5, the varsity had activated its portal to submit the project reports online. Students can submit the scanned copies of their assignments to the email addresses of their respective regional centres.

Educational institutions have been closed in the country since March 16. As of now, when the government has planned to unlock the lockdown in phases, the decision to open schools and colleges will be taken in July.

The last date for submission of assignment and project for the June term-end exam is June 15.
