IIT Bombay placements 2021: 1201 students placed till Day 6
The institute receives top international offers from Rakuten Group (26 offers) and Uber Systems, USA (USD 2,87,550).
Students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) have accepted a total of 1,201 job offers till December 7 (Day 6). The placement season at all IITs began on December 1. As per a release issued by the institute, December 7 marked the sixth day of IIT Bombay placements, with a total of 255 companies participating in the recruitment drive and 240 companies recruited students till December 7.Â
The companies that made the maximum offers are Qualcomm (40 offers), Samsung Research Institute and Intel Corporation. Top international offers came from Rakuten Group (26 offers) and Uber Systems, USA (USD 2,87,550).Â
IIT Bhubaneswar sees increase in job offersÂ
According to IIT Bhubaneswar, more than 55 per cent of BTech students have got job offers during the first three days of the recruitment drive. There is a 50 per cent increase in median salary from 16 lakh per annum (LPA) to 24 LPA of last year, the institute said. Â
RV Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar, said: “Better placements over the last year indicates an optimistic placement scenario despite fears about the new variant of virus Omicron surfacing and posing to affect the business economy throughout the globe.” Â
At IIT Hyderabad, 466 job offers highest so farÂ
As per the IIT Hyderabad Placement 2021 report that was released on December 8, 2021, students have received a total of 466 job offers so far, which is considered the highest during the first phase of campus placement. A total of 104 companies participated in the recruitment drive. The second phase of IIT Hyderabad Placement 2021 would begin in January 2022.
