IIT Delhi: Admission open for Postgraduate/PhD programmes 2023-2024; Apply by March 30, 2023

Interested candidates can apply for Postgraduate/PhD programmes 2023-2024 at IIT Delhi latest by March 30, 2023. Financial assistance or scholarships are available for full-time PhD/MTech/MDes/MS(R)/MSc/MPP students. SC/ST/PwD students admitted to Postgraduate/PhD programmes are exempted from payment of tuition fees. Read here for more details.

IIT Delhi has invited online applications for admission to various PhD programmes including in Applied Mechanics, Biochemical Engg and Biotechnology, Chemical Engg, Chemistry, Civil Engg, Computer Science and Engg, Design, Electrical Engg, Energy Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Studies, Mathematics, Materials Science and Engg, Mechanical Engg, Physics and Textile and Fibre Engg. Applications are also invited for various MTech courses. The last date to apply is March 30, 2023, up to 4 pm.

Eligibility for PhD/M.Tech/MS (R)/M.Des/MPP, a CGPA of 6.0 for General/OBC/EWS (5.50 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale or equivalent or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the qualifying degree). A relaxation in CGPA/marks to 0.5 (5%) is also available to those with an MA degree in English, for admission to PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences. For a full-time PhD/MTech/MS (R) Programme, the qualifying GATE/National Exam is required.

For the MDes programme, a valid CEED score is required. For MSc, a CGPA of 5.5 for General/OBC/EWS (5.0 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale or equivalent or 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the qualifying degree). The requirement of GATE/National Exam is waived for some graduates/students from CFTIs. 

Candidates belonging to the General/OBC/EWS category are required to pay for each application form fee of INR 200 and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories are required to pay INR 50.
