IIT Hyderabad invites applications for PhD courses, apply now

Interested candidates can apply on the official website iith.ac.in. till October 14, 2022.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has invited applications for admission to PhD courses. The last day to apply is October 14, 2022. The PhD programmes offered in various disciplines and streams by different departments of the institute are based on written test and interviews. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of IIT Hyderabad at iith.ac.in.

If the candidate is selected for the written test and interview, they are required to carry all their documents along with a printout of their application , payment reference document and certificates.  

Residential requirements for working professionals who apply under external mode can be waived. The coursework can be taken up in online mode and the required credits can be completed in accordance with the doctoral committee recommendations and Senate rulings. 

How to apply for PhD at IIT Hyderabad 

• Go to the link, iith.ac.in/phdadmissions/home.jsp 
• Click on log in and enter your login id and password 
• Now, click on the link ‘click here to apply’ 
• Fill in details and click on save/submit button 
• Pay the application fee through SBI-Collect.  
• Submit your application and take a print out for future reference. 

Direct admission to PhD for CFTI students 

The BTech graduates from centrally funded technical institutions (CFTI) with a CGPA of 8.0 and above are eligible to apply to all PhD courses at IIT Hyderabad without the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE). However, students with CGPA lower than 8.0 are required to take GATE exam to become eligible for PhD admissions.
